End of The Term Self-Assesment

ESP vocublary test. I am trying to learn the words, but many of this world I used rarely, so is hard for me to remember the definitions. Therefore I think that I can do it better.

Writing summaries.It is difficult for me to write summaries. My vocublary is narrow and I have a loophole. Generally I do a lot of mistakes. But I think  I am writing sumaries little better when I assumed a practice.

Online exercises - multiple choice & fillingin blanks. I think fared not bad. In some cases, I did some mistakes.

Moodle test. Same like a online exercises.

Online listening in class. I do it well when I know a majority words. But, in some cases, succeed badly.

Traditional listening to cassettes. I think fared not bad, but badly than a online exercises.

Power point presentation. Prepared for presentation succeed well. However, it was difficult to present, because I am not to be in a fit state of speak in english freely.

Speaking impromtu. It is very hard for me. Because like I said my vocublary is small, I am not to be in a fit state of speak in english freely, also my articulation is not very good.

Shorts talks (ready - made speech). It is simplicity than speaking improntu. But I have problems with articulation.

Time in a Bottle

Most students are celebrating their 21st birthday under ceremony the "power hour". It is characterized by some college towns. The essence of ritual is binge drinking. Many students drinking becomes the college experience.

Firstly, 40 percent of American students are tended to drink a lot. It appears that college environment have influence for students habits to drink.

Secondly, social norm is one of the biggest factors that promote students drinking.

Also students are drinking to forget his problems. They believe that alcohol will help get rid of the negative consequences and make positive..

To sum up, there are factors that promote student drunkenness, but the biggest problem is their perception. It is therefore necessary to change students' perceptions of alcohol topic.

People began waiting in queue in Great Britain and it spread to other American And Europe countries. In Europe most popular lines are  when every counter has several waiting queues.

 In United States service state counters are serviced one line.

More importan thing is not how long people wait in line, but how long they thought they were waiting. This point comfirmed by the researcher Jacob Hornik. His research indicated that when people wait in line, the period enhanced 30 percent than the real time.

Some firms discovered how to improve client satisfactions. They concentrated on people requirement that people even overlook at the real time. Airline company discovered that the unwelcome waiting is about eight minutes. They managed to improve consciousness satisfaction by landing airplanes to another terminal instead of reducing waiting time.

Professor Richard Wiseman

Richard Wiseman is a professor of the University of Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. Wiseman started his professional life as a magician, before graduating in Psychology from University College London and obtaining a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Edinburgh. Richard Wiseman is famous by his researches in such human life areas as luck, humor and paranormal.

Professor Richard Wiseman has studied the principles of good and bad luck, publishing the results in his very famous book "The Luck Factor". Psychologist found out that both good and bad lusk result from measurable habits. Lucky people are outgoing and observant and therefore have many more chance encounters than unlucky people, each of which could bring a lucky opportunity.

It was very intresting for me to read Wiseman's blog, where he is posting his experiments, tests for people and other stuff few times a day. As I can see in blog, he is not afraid of communicating with people who are interested in his research.

To sum up, professor Richard Wiseman made a great influence in modern psychology by his experiments and research.

The Psychology of Internet

The virtual world is quite different than the in-person world. Digitizing people relationship, and groups has stretched the boundaries of how and when humans interact. In different synergistic combinations of these features, thus resulting in a disctinct psychological quality to each environment which determines how people experience themselves and others. We may think of these features as the fundamental elements of a conceptual model for a psychology of internet. How people behave on internet will always be a complex interaction between these features of cyberspace and the characteristics of the person.
Can we see a person on internet - his facial expressions and body language? Can we hear the changes in her voice? Whether an environment on internet involves visual or auditory communication will greatly affect how people behave and the relationships that develop among those people.
The lack of face-to-face cues has curious impact on how people present their identity on internet. Communicating only with typed text, people have the option of being themself, expressing only parts of them identity, or remaining completely anonymous - in some cases, being almost invisible. In many, environments, people can give themself any name they wish. Anonymity has a disinhibiting effect that cuts two ways. Sometimes people use it to act out some unpleasant need or emotion, often by abusing other people. Or it allows them to be honest and open about some personal issues that they could not discuss in a face-to-face encounter.
In most cases, everyone on internet has an equal opputunity to voice him or herself. Everyone - regardless of status, wealth, race, gender - starts off on a level playing field. Communication on the internet determines people persistence, the quality of them ideas and technical know-how.

My future profession

In modern world are various representatives of professions. Each person can choose on his own demand or calibre. Profession that I choose and I want to relate my future is psychology.
Firstly, psychology is hypothetical science, that researches human behavior, appreciates his consciousness boucle, sensibility and experiences. Exactly that I like to do: examine human conduct and understand one-person or other person opinion, character, generally, inner life.
Secondly, psychology profession originated recently, about one hundred yers ago. Comparison that is new science, so this profession attract me. Also, when person will complete psychology bachelor study, his will have few perspectives. People can continue study and choose their opinion the best range og psychology, for example: business psychology, organizational psychology, clinical psychology. Or work psychologist assistant.
Finally, when I will complete bachelor study, I would continue it. I am intresting psychology and criminology. Because in my opinion worst psychological help need to felonry, as they do crimes for psychological issues. Also, psychological support need for victims.
To sum up, person who are finished psychology study can work almost in all ranges. Also, this science is useful in daily life.
